1. White Party
Dig out your white satin and dancing shoes because this theme party is sure to end on the dance floor. The 3rd annual White Party features decadent white-colored foods served up by chef Mark Whitehead at the historic Hood River Hotel. Expect sparkly cocktails and irresistible charm. Let it snow!

2. Northwest Fare with Ben Stenn
Ben Stenn, the award-winning owner-chef at Celilo
Restaurant, has developed a broad network of farmers, foragers, and fishermen, which shows in every meal he prepares. Enjoy an intimate evening with Stenn and his wife Carol at the home of Forrest and Colleen Jones. You’ll savor every bite, paired with local wines.

Lorena Lowell’s cuisine is raved about each and every year with the My Dinner Party series! Always a sellout! Her traditional Mexican dinner and delights are Magnifico! Her secret familia recipes include mole and grandmothers amazing soup. Que Barbaridad!

4. The Big Night
“The Big Night!” This Italian feast hosted by Romul and Lily at their downtown Hood River restaurant. They will select the wines and menu which will feature a 7 course meal. Romul will create the magic in the kitchen and Lilly will amaze us with her fantastic desserts!

5. Arabian Night
Celebrate spring at the Hansen estate with a Moroccan inspired menu that evokes the luscious tastes and smells of North Africa. Mount Hood sets the backdrop for this traditional feast featuring lamb tangine, creamy roasted eggplant, almond encrusted snapper and traditional staples such as couscous and flatbread paired with local wines.

6. Art-Infused Soiree
Greg Colt welcomes guests to his downtown Hood River loft for martinis, eclectic cocktails, and small bites from Boda’s Kitchen. Enjoy the view inside and out as you let your eyes feast on Greg’s one-of-a-kind art collection. Suny and Dave Simon co-host this fabulous evening soiree, which also features an art sale to benefit Heart of Hospice Foundation.

7. Mediterranean Tapas for Twelve
Learn to cook a Mediterranean-inspired feast with Portland chef Jessica Soleil, known for her love of fresh ingredients and ability to call on experience rather than recipes. Ken and Kelli Newman host this intimate gathering at their newly built, using only USA materials, Eastside Hood River home near Panorama Point. A Spanish tapas dinner you won’t forget with Malbec, Tempranillo and local vino paired beautifully.

8. Asian Fusion
Experience the unforgettable flavors of Southeast Asia at this authentic dinner prepared by Husum residents Jim and Li Poe. Steve and Connie Morrow host this spicy feast at their beautiful home in Husum. The intense flavors, powerful smells and warm hospitality will make you feel like you’re in the remote jungles of Thailand or the mountains of Malaysia.

9. Big Greek Feast
If you yearn for hummus, taboule and falafel, you won’t want to pass up this big fat Greek dinner party hosted by Gary and Pat Blake at their West Hood River home. Settle in for a Mediterranean feast, abundant with mezé plates and local wines. Stin iyia sou!

10. First Farm to Table Feast
Summer can come early when you farm in a greenhouse. Casa Verde CSA provides the early, fresh, very local veggies for this casual vegetarian feast at the home of Mike Jacoby. Mike’s patio in beautiful Underwood provides spectacular views to inspire comfortable conversation with friends.

11. Brunch with a View
Start your weekend off right with a hearty brunch and savory views of the Gorge at the home of Michelle and Dave Sliwa. The menu includes Brioche French toast, freshly picked local fruit, and savory meats. Of course a summer brunch would not be complete without a Bloody Mary bar. Bring your appetite!

12. Italian Feast
Franco and Sandy Marchesi host an evening of Italian cuisine and fine wine at their Hood River vineyard. Step inside the Marchesi’s intimate wine cellar, where rows of wine barrels and Italian opera will provide the backdrop for this memorable dining experience. Sip on Marchesi wines while feasting on numerous courses of fresh Italian plates inspired by Italy’s Piedmont region, where Franco was born and raised.

13. Stonegate on the Summer Solstice BBQ
Joe McCulloch will light your taste buds on fire with his famous BBQ at this welcome-to-summer celebration. Joe and his wife Louise welcome guests to their Hood River home and garden in Stonegate, where plenty of local wine, brews and sinful desserts top off this unforgettable evening affair.

14. Dishes from Lucia’s Calabria
Drawing on her Italian heritage, Hood River resident Lucia Von Flotow prepares an authentic Italian dinner with recipes from her cookbook, “Calabria.” Sit on the deck of the Von Flotow’s West Hood River home among the many fruit trees while enjoying rich family recipes that have survived generations.

15. Garlic Farm Feast
There are entire restaurants, cookbooks and festivals dedicated to garlic. And if you are a garlic lover, you know exactly why. This dinner party hosted by Dawn and Ian Glasser, owners of Columbia Gorge Garlic at their inner city farm, includes plenty of garlic, along with other fresh vegetables grown by co-hosts Quercus Farms and Hood River Organics. All courses paired with wines from Aniche Cellars.

16. Feed Your Senses
Jack and Debbie Trumball take sensory dining to a whole new level with this entertaining meal, complete with fire dancers, music and a martini bar. The beer and wine will be flowing at this Hood River home, where Solstice Wood Fired Café and guest chef Ryan Hartman will prepare a special feast made from fresh, local ingredients.

17. Gatsby Garden Party
Get ready for a night of music, games and Sangria at Hood River’s Stonehedge Gardens. A bocce ball court and croquet field lure guests to the Stonehedge wedding grotto, where a buffet of fresh, local fare awaits. Come hungry… Mike and Shawna Caldwell never disappoint! Gatsby attire encouraged.

18. Fiesta de Paella
Mouth-watering paella + local wine + fabulous company = a sell-out dinner party year after year. Guillermo and Jeri Fisch pour hours of labor and just as much love into preparing this family recipe, which requires a custom made paella pan and who-knows-how-many secret ingredients.

19. Art with a Twist
Local artist Mark Nilsson welcomes guests to his downtown Hood River home for unique cocktails and savory hors d’oeuvres catered by Xani of Divots. Stunning views from Nilsson’s deck are the inspiration behind many of his famous murals — many of which will be for sale. If the food and conversation is anywhere as colorful as the artwork on the walls, you’ll go away quite satiated.

20. Dinner with the Birds & Bees at Phelps Creek
Fresh. Simple. Good. If this sums up your eating preferences, you won’t want to miss this multi-course dinner prepared by Chef Shane Eagan of Four and Twenty Blackbirds. The Farm Stand and local farmers provide the ingredients for this fresh, organic feast served on the Phelps Creek crush pad overlooking the vineyard. A feast for your senses!

21. Feast de Resistance
Treat yourself to an elaborate seven-course meal inspired by French, Asian and Pacific Northwest flavors paired perfectly with The Pines wines. Take in views of distant peaks and the mighty Columbia from the home of Jock and Melynda Bradley. Jock’s years of experience working side-by-side some of the Northwest’s top chefs shines through in every delectable bite.

22. College Daze
Solstice Wood Fired Café brings its mobile oven to the home of Tracy and Dave Scarborough for an evening of beer, pizza and rock ‘n roll- let the atmosphere take you back to your college tailgating days. Enjoy gourmet pizza, fresh salads and s’mores while slugging back Double Mountain beer.

23. Lambo Familia Bagna Càuda
Sit down for traditional Bagna càuda, a hearty meal typical of the Piedmont region of Italy, at the lovely home of Jim and Deb Lambo. Feast on vegetables and beef fondue-style by dipping them in a luscious sauce made of garlic, anchovies, olive oil and butter. Paired with Jim’s AMAZING wine!

24. Intimate Night at 3 Rivers Grill
Chef Chris Marlinga welcomes six lucky guests to 3 Rivers Grill for a delicious evening of Northwest-inspired cuisine. Enjoy a luscious view of the Columbia River from a private second-story room while savoring every bite of this multi-course meal. All dishes will be carefully paired with local wines.

25. Holiday Tea
Stephanie Hartman of Adornments of Hood River and Lucy Gorman, proprietress of Lucy’s Informal Flowers, welcomes guests to a Holiday Tea Party! A perfect holiday setting complete with Youth Heart of Hospice Helpers (YoHoH’s) serving up tasty scones and all the high tea delights. All holiday purchases will benefit Heart of Hospice Foundation.

Reservations are first come first served. Adults only please unless specified. Have your Visa or MasterCard ready. Checks must be received within 7 days of making your reservation. Shortly after making your reservation, you will receive an email confirmation. Host address and directions will be emailed to you 10 days prior to your dinner.
Heart of Hospice Foundation is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization. Your dinner may be tax deductible depending on your tax situation. (Please consult your tax advisor.) We will issue a tax receipt letter to the individual who pays for the reservation.
